James William Sutton, age 75, of Gordo, AL passed away October 13, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Kennie Hill Church in Gordo with Bro. Kelly Jolly officiating. Burial will follow in Center Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sutton; his parents and granddaughter, Savannah Grace Elmore.
Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Elmore (Oscar) and Melanie Sutton; son, Chris Sutton; brother, Bob Sutton (Charlene); sisters, Shirley Sutton, Mae Bell Hannah (Thomas), Jo Ann Conklan (Edwin) and Susie McDaniel (Chip) and grandchildren, Lilly Sutton, Chloe Sutton, Haley Elmore, Kohl Sutton and Eli Elmore.
William was born March 5, 1947 in Gordo, Alabama to the late James Capron Sutton and Lillian Gertrude Posey Sutton. He was a member of Kennie Hill Church and a retired log truck driver for Lee Timber Company.
Pallbearers will be employees of Lee Timber Company.
Honorary Pallbearers are Caleb Lee, Lee Timber Company and Eric Brown.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests finding someone in need and help them.
