CARROLLTON – Winston Ferguson, age 70, of Carrollton, Ala., died January 4, 2016, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Carrollton Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Winders, David Wilkins and Tommy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will begin at 9:30 until the time of service and immediately following the service at the church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Winston P. Ferguson and Talmadge Slatton Ferguson.Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda M. Ferguson of Carrollton, Ala.; one daughter, Tammy L. Brown and husband, Russ of Aliceville, Ala.; and two grandsons, Preston Pogue and Rafe Brown.Winston was born June 26, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and the Alabama Forestry Association. Winston was in sales all his life and was past director of the Pickens County Farmers Federation and Pickens County Cattleman's Association. He enjoyed life wherever he was visiting. He loved to talk, laugh and make others happy.Pallbearers will be David Drewery, David Wilkins, Tommy Phillips, Bennett Junkin, Larry Porter, Brian Bain, Jason Eatman and Buddy McDaniel.Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Locke, Roger Estes, Lee Younger, Dick Wheat, friends and neighbors, Carrollton High School Class of 1964, Pathway Sunday School Class of Carrollton Baptist Church, Marvin and Marsha Kilpatrick, Frank and Mary Nevel Boyd, Castella Washington, Amanda Crowell and Barbara Colvin.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Carrollton Baptist Church, P.O.
