ACWORTH, Ga. | Woodrow Darvon Bledsoe, age 70, of Acworth, Ga., went to his heavenly home March 24, 2015, at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, Ga. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Cemetery in Reform, Ala. with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Hunter Bledsoe.
Survivors include his wife, Sherron Mims Bledsoe of Acworth, Ga.; daughters, Christy Elliott of Acworth, Ga. and Michelle Runyan of Orlando, Fla.; son, Keith Bledsoe of Reform, Ala.; granddaughter, Jordan Elliott of Acworth, Ga.; and grandsons, Chandler and Jaden Runyan of Orlando, Fla. and Lawson Bledsoe of Reform, Ala.
Mr. Bledsoe was born February 16, 1945, in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., to the late Woodrow Wilson Bledsoe and Lillie Carr Bledsoe. He was employed by the State of Georgia and loved his job checking hospital and medical laboratories around Georgia. Darvon was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Reform, Ala., and a veteran of the United States Army Reserve.
Pallbearers will be Tim Bailey, Kenneth Bowles, Patrick Curry, Keith Ferguson, Winston Richardson, and Brian Shelton.
Honorary pallbearers are J.W. Carpenter and Jon Faree.
