James "Woody" Sanders, age 74, of Reform AL passed away November 25, 2021at Northport Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Deborah Guy Sanders; daughter, LeAnn Shelton (Jeremy); son, Bobby Vern Sanders (Samantha); brother, Joe R. Sanders (Linda); four grandchildren, Brittany Condra, James Tyler Sanders, Levi Lewis and Gunner Lake Shelton; one great-granddaughter, Rylee Lynn Condra and numerous nieces and nephews.
Woody was born August 2, 1947 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late James Vern Sanders and Imogene Woodard Sanders. He was a member of the Baptist faith, a retired truck driver for S and L Trucking and a veteran of the United States Army.
Pallbearers will be James Tyler Sanders, Lane Guy, Ben Guy, Dale Shelton, Clint Kyles and Robert Jack Cockrell.
Honorary Pallbearers are Roger Estes, Rena Hudson, Joe Estano, Pam Spurgin and Katrine Summerville.
