Mrs. Zeo Harrell Eaton, age 98 of Ethelsville, AL passed away June 20, 2019 at Windsor Place in Columbus, MS. A Celebration of Life service will be 4:00 pm Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Collins, Rev. Charles Young and Rev. Joe Fondren officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert O. Eaton, Sr., her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Zaiontz and Kathryn Richardson and her husband, J. W. and brother, Herbert Harrell.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert O. "Bobby" Eaton, Jr and daughter-in-law, Jane Eaton; grandchildren, Jennifer Henry and Jason Junkin; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Henry and Cole Henry and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Eaton was an active member of Pine Grove Methodist Church where she had served as a former Sunday School teacher and on various committees. She often prepared beautiful fresh floral arrangements from her yard for the Sunday worship service. She enjoyed sharing her homemade pies, cakes, cobblers and rolls with her neighbors and friends. She always looked forward to having a garden and sharing the fresh vegetables and fruits with others.
Zeo Harrell Eaton was born August 12, 1920 to the late Charlie Preston Harrell and Rosa Mae Henderson Harrell. She was a graduate of Liberty High School where she played basketball. As a housewife, Mrs. Eaton enjoyed her role and duties as a faithful farmer's wife to her husband, Robert of Eaton's Farm.
Pallbearers will be Jason Junkin, Mark Randall, Jonathan Goodman, Robert Hunt, Charles West and Lynn Wright.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all friends and neighbors of the Pine Grove Community, Howell and Mildred Austin, Paul and Betty Campbell, Mike and Vickie Ezelle, Linda Ferguson, Linda Godwin, Ray and Barbara Gore, Bobbie Hunt, Danny and Debbie Lancaster, Mike and Beth Ludwig, Thomas and Faye Morgan, Kim Rutherford, Gail West, Norma Wilcox, Ginger Wright, Don and Jan Hudson, Terry Hudson, Mildred Collins, Mike and Suzie Potts and Michael Ezelle.
